We are thrilled to provide structured and unstructured play-based activities for our toddlers. Our care is designed to foster independence and help children learn to make independent choices. They work on the physical ability to handle transitions, seek out others for play and carry out those plans independently. We provide a variety of art and music materials like finger paints, crayons, and clay to stimulate their creativity. As toddlers learn to articulate their words, our team works with them to build larger vocabularies as well as more complex wordplay and rhymes. We supplement story-reading experiences to help increase their emotional understanding in an ever-changing world. This is also seen as they begin to scribble and draw to try their hand at the skill of writing with various tools. Our toddler program is a perfect opportunity for your child to build their confidence and prepare them for the years to come.
Language/Literacy: Children develop skills in both listening and communicating and build a foundation for later reading and writing. Activities include songs, rhymes, fingerplays, reading picture books, and more.
Physical/Health: Activities promote wellness and allow children to grow in using both small and large muscles. Playdough, water play, vigorous outdoor play, healthy snack ideas, and more are offered.
Science/Math/Creative Arts: Children are encouraged to enjoy and explore a variety of art materials, investigate their world, and begin to engage in symbolic thinking. Activities include pretend play, sensory exploration, experimentation, self-expression, and more.
Social/Emotional: Experiences are planned to help children develop relationships with adults and other children, learn more about themselves, recognize and express feelings, and begin to demonstrate self-regulation.
Social Studies: Predictable routines and age-appropriate rules bring order to children's lives. Children will learn about their families, their child care setting, and the local culture and community.
Approaches to Learning: Opportunities to build skills in this area are woven throughout all of the curriculum activities. Such activities focus on building memory and promoting curiosity, persistence, and problem-solving—skills that are critical for lifelong learning!
We make it a priority to communicate throughout the day and provide updates to let you know your child is well taken care of.
We use an app called Brightwheel. Parents love it because it keeps you updated with real time photos, video and updates! The updates are private and only visible to authorized family members.
